Million Dollar Baby crib

Recommended cribs, by Consumer Reports

“A crib may seem like a big place to put your tiny newborn, but it’s the safest place for her to sleep,” says Consumer Reports. “While some parents use a cradle, bassinet, or bedside sleeper for the first few months, you can save money and worry by sticking with a crib.”

According to the magazine, “the best baby beds offer plenty of safety features with stationary sides at an affordable price.”

Here is the Consumer Reports’ selection of recommended cribs. The maximum overall score is 100, and “Best Buy” models offer more value.
