Recommended Blu-ray players, by Consumer Reports

“Blu-ray players, which can play both high-definition Blu-ray discs and regular DVDs, are the best choice for use with an HDTV,” says Consumer Reports. “Full-featured, top-rated players from major brands now start at less than $100, and prices could drop even further this year. … Just remember that to view a 3D Blu-ray movie, you’ll also need a 3D TV and special 3D glasses.”

Here is the Consumer Reports’ selection of recommended Blu-ray players. The maximum overall score is 100, and “Best Buy” models offer more value.
